Hydraulic Combined Anchor Windlass

Hydraulic Combined Anchor Windlass is a mechanical device used on composed of the chain wheel and the drum, which can be used as a winch for mooring and as an anchor windlass for anchoring. In order to save space and cost, the anchorwindlass and winch in modern ships often adopt a combination design. The anchor machine and winch share a common drive system, which controls different clutch positions by pulling the embedded clutch handle, causing the drive shaft to drive the anchor chain wheel and drum to rotate as needed, respectively achieving the lifting and lowering of the anchor and the retraction and release of the cable.

Usually, the driving methods of hydraulic pump stations are mainly divided into three categories: electric hydraulic, diesel hydraulic, and shaft hydraulic. Among them, electric hydraulic are the most widely used. Electric-hydraulic anchor windlass is driven by an electric motor to drive a hydraulic pump, drive an oil motor, and then operate the windlass through a reducer (or without a reducer). It has a compact structure, small size, smooth operation, and good transmission performance, but high manufacturing technology and maintenance requirements.
