Electric Double Gyspy Anchor Windlass
Electric Double Gypsy Anchor Windlass is a device installed on a ship consisting of two sprockets, used for lifting and releasing anchors. The operation mode of the electric double sprocket anchor windlass is that the electric motor drives the sprocket shaft through a reduction device, and there is a clutch between the sprocket and the transmission shaft. When anchoring, the clutch is disengaged and the anchor chain wheel is controlled by the brake.
Small anchor machines (such as anchor chain diameter below 26mm) usually use a dual-speed motor, which automatically switches from high speed to low speed when overloaded. The high-power windlass adopts a three-speed motor with a lifting speed ratio of 1:2:4 and is rated at a medium speed range (load and anchor lifting speed). Usually, when lifting an anchor, a high-speed gear is used at the beginning. When the load increases to overload, it automatically switches from high-speed gear to medium-speed gear. After the anchor is unearthed, it can be switched to high-speed gear. When the anchor leaves the water surface and retracts into the anchor chain tube, a low-speed gear is used.
