Electric Combined Anchor Windlass

Electric Combined Anchor Windlass is a mechanical device used on composed of the chain wheel and the drum, which can be used as a winch for mooring and as an anchor windlass for anchoring. The driving method of the electric combined anchor windlass is that the electric motor drives the sprocket shaft through a reduction device, and there is a clutch between the sprocket and the transmission shaft. When anchoring, the clutch is disengaged and the sprocket is controlled by the brake. If a warping head is equipped, there are also separate brakes and clutches.

Electric combined anchor windlass can be divided into DC and AC based on their voltage, with the former implementing stepless speed regulation and the latter implementing graded speed regulation. Currently, due to the installation of AC power stations on most ships, AC anchor windlass are used more frequently.
