Mooring Winch

A mooring winch is a mechanical device used to secure a ship or boat in place by anchoring it to a fixed point, such as a dock or a buoy. It is typically located on the deck of the vessel and consists of a drum or cylinder around which a rope or cable is wound. The winch is powered by an electric, hydraulic, or diesel engine, which allows for the controlled release or retrieval of the mooring line.

The mooring winch should operate for 30 minutes at a speed not lower than the nominal speed. Engage clutch,release brake,operate the mooring winch run for 15min continuously in both positive and reverse directions at no-load speed. After the 30 minute test, change the speed as soon as possible, and run for 5 minutes at each speed level and each steering
